Will You Miss Me “Rica” is a 2002 American Quarter Horse mare by Sure Miss N You and out of Bonnie B Happy. Rica is a striking blood-bay who is 15.1hh, 1,200lbs and has extreme cow sense. She joined the LEQ Broodmare Band whilst still actively competing in 2025, when she was leased by her loving owner Courtney Dunn, and with tremendous success though not having been bred in 7 years, we recovered 2 embryos from her that are due in 2026.

Rica’s conformation is built to last, as she has been under saddle for over 21 years. She is big boned, with a strong topline and harmonious conformation. She was selected by LEQ for her strong longevity traits, which we believe is very important in performance horses. Originally bred for Reined Cow Horse, Rica has a long and well-muscled neck made to bridle, a huge hind end with low-set hocks that let her stop hard and rollback fast, straight legs, and an extreme work ethic.

Under saddle, Rica is a point-and-shoot mare who is always ambitious and ready to take on whatever challenge is in front of her. She has packed around novice riders and is an excellent teacher, and has also dominated in open classes at local shows. With estimated lifetime earnings of over $50,000 in a variety of divisions such as cutting, reined cow horse, reining, team sorting, team penning and more, there is nothing Rica can’t handle.

We value mares who can win in a variety of disciplines, but also be able to compete with minimal maintenance needed. Whilst most show horses retire in their late teens, Rica is expected to complete her final year as a show horse at the humble age of 23. She has given her show career maximum effort, and will be given the best ending as a priceless broodmare, having foals and grazing the lush pastures daily at Landon Equestrian.
